Wow shocking is all I can say. You get there and the main sign is held up with straps and has been for a long time. All the games machines turned off to save power. Water leaking from roof everywhere and looks like it has been for some time. Place needs nocking down or a good bit off money spending on it. Will not be returning
Great little bowling alley. We visited on a Tuesday evening to take advantage of the half price bowling (5pm-9pm on Tuesdays). We were surprised to find the place almost empty. It's nice and clean and bright inside with fairly modern equipment. We had a couple of jams which required resets but had no real problems. The range of balls was my only issue, I need large holes for my fingers but I don't usually like using the 12s and 14s (which are the balls you'll usually find with large holes). Some of the balls had rough edges in the holes and felt a little broken, but the surface of them was in good condition. There were plenty of lighter balls and a ramp for the kids to use though, and they really enjoyed it.Would definitely come here again, we were on holiday in the nearby Haven caravan park.Note: the place does look almost derelict from the outside, it's all grey and very little colour, but inside it's quite nice and there was only three other people bowling beside us at the time too.They also have a bar and restaurant area but we didn't eat or drink while here since we came for bowling.
You can wear your own trainers or their bowling shoes. Most days there is an offer on and if you are staying on site and there is no offer you can get a discounted rate. Good selection of bowling balls and its kept clean.
